About Merri

My interior design philosophy is simple: the home should reflect the personalities of the people who live in it. I believe a successful design enhances a family’s lifestyle. The results should be a home that is comfortable, welcoming and original. My mission is to help clients discover their true “Signature Style”™.

I’m able to deliver successful interior designs by listening to my client’s needs by interviewing them in depth about their lifestyle, their living preferences and styles for entertaining guests.

I can work with you on any project from architectural drawings to choosing finishes, furniture, fabrics and accessories or simply stop by to help you pick out the perfect paint color.

I have worked on a wide variety of residential and commercial projects encompassing a broad range of styles with a specialty in historic preservation, renovation and remodeling period homes and house museums.

I write about interior design tips and trends at www.amazinggoodwill.com. I have been the featured designer for several design competitions and regularly stage dorm rooms at local universities working with Goodwill SEW. I have worked as a stylist on TV commercials and billboards.

My designs have been featured in numerous newspapers and magazines and have appeared on various television programs. I have written articles and have been a speaker at local and national groups. “Style by Design” ™, my bimonthly newsletter, features articles on style and decorating, design tips and trends and fabulous table settings. I am always happy to answer your design questions.

I’ve turned my love of entertaining, setting a unique table and holiday decorating into Great Gatherings™. I can help you host your own special dinner party or deck your halls for any season.

When I’m not designing, writing, or blogging about interiors, I enjoy traveling, learning French and spending time with family and friends. My personal philosophy is to have fun and laugh a lot. Life is short, enjoy every moment!
