Interior design trends don’t change as fast as fashion. We certainly don’t buy new furniture, reupholster old chairs, change draperies or even paint every season. Unless you are redecorating or remodeling a room, we tend to update our spaces with little touches. Like new pillows or accessories. Repainting is easier and more economical than buying a new sofa or replacing the carpet.
That being said, what are the hottest trends in interior design for 2013?
Emerald Green is the 2013 color of the year according to Pantone.

This collections is from Functionals presented at Maison et Objet show in Paris last week.
Floral prints (but not your Granny’s flower fabric!)
Kampur from Casal Fabrics. New for 2013
Animal prints will also continue to be popular
Wallpaper is making a comeback, but in bold, graphic or embellished designs
I predict designs influenced by the 1920s and Art Deco will be very important in the next few years. Downton Abbey is wildly popular and The Great Gatsby is coming out in May. Which would you choose Roaring Twenties Decadence?
