A big part of interior Design is accessories. I love to find new and creative ways to re-purpose and Re~Style items.
Believe it or not, it took centuries before modern man and woman were convinced that using a fork was not barbaric. Charles I of England is responsible for the modern table setting, when in 1633, he declared, “It is decent to use a fork.” The lower class continued to eat with their hands or a knife until a century later.
This simple invention not only makes eating civilized and less messy, it can be used for a variety of other purposes.
A few bends with a needle-nose pliers can turn the fork into a stand.
It’s perfect as a recipe card holder…
or business card holder.
You don’t need to bend the tines to use it as a plant marker. If it’s stainless, you can use it outdoors as well.
This recipe is from my oldest friend Bonnie.
