Dish Up Holiday Cheer
I love it when an idea takes a life of its own. Like my picture frame place mats. They were great for Halloween and Thanksgiving and even more perfect for Christmas.
Although red and green are traditional holiday colors, they just never seem to get old. Set a colorful table for a Christmas Eve dinner or morning brunch.
I painted the frames white this time and replaced the black insert with white paper and added ribbon borders.

Use your basic white plates and add a red salad dish.
I re-painted the little frames red and silver. Add a small cardboard stand to the back of one and it becomes a napkin ring! Gently pleat the top of a white napkin and tuck into the frame. A little glass ornament adds a touch of pizazz. You can personalize them to make gifts for your guests.
Or use a tiny frame for a place card so everyone knows where to sit.

Keep the frame theme going.
My favorite part of this place setting is the open frame decorated with greens, ribbon, berries and pine cones. It keeps the frame theme going and makes the setting so much more festive. Who wouldn’t want to take one of these home to hang in a window?

A great table has an unexpected touch. The decorated frame adds a really festive touch.

These look great hanging on a mirror too.
Your centerpiece should be more of the same. A red table cloth makes everything pop. Lay out a pretty garland on the table and tuck in the rest of your painted frames. Be sure to orient some vertically and horizontally and at an angle. I gently draped silver bead garland throughout and added more silver and red ornaments. It should look casual and elegant.

Silver and sparkle are perfect for Christmas tables.
I wish you and your family a wonderful Christmas Season. Enjoy your time together. It is so precious. After the hustle and bustle, let me know how you celebrated.
Merry Christmas!
